SEO and GEO Consultant · Since 2018

Helping brands get found in search results and in AI answers.

Since 2018 I have worked on marketing for direct-to-consumer brand websites, mostly SEO: keyword research, technical audits, site structure and content. For the past year I have focused on GEO, researching how ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews choose the products and sources they show, and helping brands get cited in them.

Track record

7consumer electronics and smart home brand websites I work on with my team
105Mcumulative visits from organic search to those websites
$219Mcumulative revenue from organic search visits on those websites
$2.0Mcumulative revenue from AI assistant visits on those websites

Cumulative totals from each website's Google Analytics 4, as recorded for each channel.

What I work on

SEO

Ranking in Google

Technical audits, crawling and indexing, site structure and internal links, keyword research and content that matches what ranks for each search.

GEO

Being cited in AI answers

Which products ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews name for a category, which sources they cite, and what a brand needs in place to be one of them.

Measurement

Reading the numbers

Separating AI referral traffic in analytics, tracking a fixed set of buyer questions over weeks, and reading organic search figures after Google answers first.

Writing

Published on KWS Trends, based on more than 1,200 Google AI Overviews, AI traffic estimates for 710 websites and four months of near-daily search result tracking. Each article says where its figures come from and what they cannot show.
